On November 17, 2024, Hospitallers from Canada and Peru joined our Sister Teófila Santos Presinal, who lives and continues the mission in San José de Ocoa with the Associates, to mark sixty years of presence of the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph in the Dominican Republic.
A festive and significant event that illustrated the immense involvement of our sisters from Kingston, Ontario, since their arrival in 1964 on Dominican soil.
The speeches, the many tributes and memories demonstrated the great affection, gratitude and recognition of the people towards the Congregation.
The Eucharistic celebration presided over by Bishop Faustino Burgos Brisman brought together priests, Associates, friends, and the general public. Together, we gave thanks to the Lord for His presence throughout these sixty years. May his presence continue to accompany Sister Teófila in her mission in San José de Ocoa.
Special thanks to Mrs. Ernestina Sepulveda for her ongoing commitment, to the Associates, and to all the volunteers who prepared this event. This celebration allowed the Associates to be further recognized within the extended family of the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph.
